Responding to Plan of Correction That is Pending an IRP

Carla Erhartic

It has been unclear how a provider is to submit a POC when there is something they are challenging.  The Department has indicated that responding by referring to a pending IRP is not an acceptable plan of correction and will be rejected.

The Department indicated that using the following response, assuming it is accurate, would be acceptable, "We have reviewed our policies and procedures and found them to be sufficient as written." If part of your plan of correction is to provide additional training, you can indicate in the POC the type of training you are providing, who is providing it and when it/was scheduled.
