The Foundation for Quality Care (FQC) received exciting news this week from the NYS DOH that we will be awarded $658,596 to expand its Long Term Care Leadership Institute under the NYS Health Workforce Retraining Initiative!  FQC will be funded in all eight regions of NYS, allowing us to build on the tremendous success of the Institute over the last 10 years in providing education and training to more than 4,900 nurses and health care professionals. This funding allows us to add a new Assisted Living Nurse Leadership Program, a four-day course held over eight weeks with a new curriculum modeled after the successful First Line Nurse Manager course. This will be tailored for Assisted Living Nurse Leaders, and contact hours will be provided by New Hampshire Nurses Association.  The first program will be offered in Fall, 2014 (location TBA).
